The postal block was presented in 2021 on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the birth of the famous Ukrainian artist Ivan Myasoyedov. This is a joint issue of Ukraine and Liechtenstein, because the artist's creative path is inextricably linked with both countries.

Ivan Myasoyedov was born in Kharkiv in 1881, attended an art school in Poltava and lived for some time in its picturesque suburb - Pavlenki. However, he spent a significant part of his life abroad, in various European capitals - in Berlin, Brussels, as well as in the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Vaduz under the name Yevhen Zotov, where he became a court artist and created portraits of members of the local princely house and sketches of postage stamps.

The artist's creative output is about 4 thousand works, among which are "Argonauts sailing from the shores of Greece to Colchis for the Golden Fleece", "Self-portrait in his youth", "Amazons" and others.

The block contains two stamps: No. 1946 "Yevhen Zotov. View of Vaduz Castle. 1938/1953" and No. 1947 "Ivan Myasoyedov. Self portrait. 1910".
