Where forests and steppe grasses grow today, fish, mollusks, mosses and other inhabitants of the warm, shallow and not very salty sea once lived. Now it is a land with enormous biodiversity: more than 1,500 species of plants grow on the territory of the National Park, including endemics and relics of the glacial and post-glacial eras, more than 300 species of vertebrates and about a thousand invertebrates.\u003cbr\u003eDozens of species of flora and fauna of Podolskie Tovtry are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.
