Canceled postal set "Peace is the highest value of humanity"
"EUROPE. "Peace is the highest value of humanity" is the theme of the issue initiated by Ukrposhta under the "EUROPA" program, which is due to the large-scale invasion of Russia on February 24, 2022 in Ukraine. In the contest announced by PostEurop for the best sketch for a postage stamp, Luxembourg Post won.
The picture with the image of the new peace sign, which according to the rules of the competition is reproduced on the "EUROPA" postage stamps this year by all postal administrations of PostEurop participating countries, was created based on the Celtic love knot by designers Linda Bos and Runa Egilsdóttir.
For Ukrainians today, not only Peace, but also Victory is important. Peace, Victory, Ukraine, as noted by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, are the values for which we are fighting. His words became the leitmotif for a Ukrainian postage stamp authored by Maria Suslova, whose work took 2nd place in the sketch competition.
