Block "Cossack kleinods. Seals of the Cossack era" 2017
The postal issue is designed to tell about the heroic period in the history of Ukraine - the Cossack region. It is this period that is still associated with victory and the struggle for the native land, from which our current defenders draw inspiration.
Cossack kleinods are symbols and attributes of state or civil power, individual divisions, regiments, hundreds and other formations or administrative entities. The kleinods included a flag, a mace, a bunchuk, a seal, a feather, timpani, trumpets, squid, etc.
The postal sheet includes 6 stamps depicting the seals of the Cossack era: "Seal of the Lower Zaporizhzhya Army. 1763"; "Seal of Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. The middle of the 17th century"; "The seal of the Kodak Palanka. The middle of the 18th century"; "Seal of Prylut Colonel Pyotr Doroshenko. 1656-1659"; "Seal-ring of a Zaporizhia foreman. XVII-XVIII centuries."; "The seal of Semen Rakovych, the Prylut regimental scribe. 1672—1691".
