Block of stamps "Holy Mountains National Nature Park"2010

The “Holy Mountains” National Nature Park is a unique nature conservation area in Ukraine, located in the northern part of the Donetsk Region, in the Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts (along the Siverskyi Donets River). The park was established on February 13, 1997, and is the first national nature park on the left bank of Ukraine.

⚠️ Current Status (2026) 
Due to the full-scale Russian invasion, the park has found itself in the zone of intense combat operations and in the frontline area. Ecosystem destruction: According to environmentalists’ estimates, as a result of constant shelling and large-scale forest fires, more than 30% of the park’s forest areas (over 12,000 hectares) have been completely burned or destroyed. Russian troops continue to strike the forests and set them on fire
