This postcard is full of Easter symbols that combine tradition, faith, and family warmth.
The centerpiece features a tree that resembles both a giant nest and a festive basket. On its branches are Ukrainian huts, which represent the family hearth, community unity, and the peace of home. This echoes Easter, when families come together to share festive bread and blessings.
Under the branches hang pysankas, an ancient symbol of life, rebirth and blessing. They remind us of the tradition of painting Easter eggs, where each ornament has a special meaning: protection, prosperity, and health.
The light lace patterns intertwined in the crown of the tree resemble the towels used to cover Easter baskets and symbolize spiritual purity and renewal. White patterns among the blue add a sense of lightness and grace.
The lower part of the painting is warmed by a soft golden tone, which creates the feeling of the spring sun, which illuminates the path to new life, like the light of the Resurrection. The couple on the swing under the tree looks especially touching, symbolizing love, harmony, and the continuation of life.
This Easter card is not just a greeting illustration, but a real Easter amulet that carries the light of traditions, family warmth and faith in a better future.
