Interesting facts about the Vorontsov Lighthouse:

* You can climb to the top of the lighthouse by climbing 135 steps of a spiral staircase;
the height of the lighthouse is 26 meters;

* The lighthouse was named after Prince Vorontsov, the governor general who completed the construction of the first Odesa lighthouse in 1827 at Cape Bolshoi Fontan;

* The pier, which can be used to reach the lighthouse, is 600 meters long;

* No one lives at the lighthouse, it is controlled by a remote control;

* The lighthouse keeper lives on the shore in a shift house. His name is Ivan Tsykhovych, and he came to work at the lighthouse right after the army more than 50 years ago. Now the keeper is 86 years old, but he continues to take care of the lighthouse;

*The lighthouse has recently been overhauled: the foundation was strengthened, and it was equipped with modern machinery and solar panels.
