Postage Set "Cities of Heroes. Chernihiv Region" 2024

For more than a month, from February 24, 2022, the enemy tried to occupy the territory of the Chernihiv region in order to get as close as possible to the capital.

Despite the danger, the local residents actively resisted: they set up artificial obstacles for the advance of enemy vehicles on the roads, tracked their movement and passed on information to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that is, they did everything to stop the defenders from advancing.

The Ukrainian military fought desperately for every meter of native land and already by April 3, 2022, pushed out the Russian aggressor from the entire territory of the region.

With the liberation, peace did not return to the region, because the proximity of the border with the Russian Federation allows the enemy to carry out constant missile attacks aimed at populated areas of the region.

But this did not stand in the way of active recovery after the Russian invasion. Chernihiv Oblast has survived and is being rebuilt, and its residents, for their active struggle, deserve the most sincere respect.

The postal issue, which is a continuation of the "Cities of Heroes" series, is dedicated to Chernihiv, Nizhyn, p. Yagidnomu, village Semenivtsi
