Hryhoriy Skovoroda is a powerful thinker, an interesting writer, an extraordinary personality that every European culture would be proud of.
He studied at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. He preferred personal spiritual freedom - led an ascetic way of life and spent a lot of time traveling. Among the creative heritage of Grigory Skovoroda: philosophical works, collections of songs and fables ("The Garden of Divine Songs", "Fables of Kharkiv"). Skovoroda's sayings, devoted mainly to ethics, gained great popularity: "Love arises from love...", "Do what you were born to do...", "...care is a movement of the soul, and life is a movement", etc. Many collections of aphorisms have been compiled from them. Author's statement -

"The world was catching me, but it didn't catch me" - became especially relevant today, since the philosopher was "not caught" by the Russian aggressors either. On May 6, 2022, the Russian military fired a rocket at the building of the National Literary and Memorial Museum of H.S. Frying pans in the village Skovorodinivka (Kharkiv region), where the thinker lived and worked in recent years. And although the building was badly damaged - it burned out inside - the authentic objects of the museum fund related to the life and work of Hryhoriy Skovoroda were preserved. A statue of the philosopher also survived.

The postal block, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Hryhoriy Skovoroda, is a charity issue of Ukrposhta. Charitable contributions collected in this way will be directed by Ukrposhta to the reconstruction of the literary and memorial museum of H.S. Frying pans
