The legendary postman Fedor Feketa (1791-1838) traveled daily for more than 30 years through mountains, meadows and forests to Uzhhorod and back to his native village of Turia Remety. As a result, it is 50 kilometers a day - more than a marathon. The peasants revered their postman, called him "ambassador", and after his death erected a bas-relief monument on the wall of the local church.
