Sheet "Kyiv princes on the thrones of Europe" 2016
The postal issue was put into circulation in May 2016 in memory of ancient Ukrainian women who, having become the wives of European rulers, ruled justly and wisely together with their husbands in France, Norway, Poland and other countries of the continent.
Their rule testifies to the strong ties of Kyivan Rus with European countries during the Middle Ages.
On a sheet consisting of 12 stamps, the image of 12 princesses: "Anna (1032-1075)", "Malfrid (Malmfred) (1095/1102-1137)", "Vysheslava (Vyslava) (1047-1089)", "Efimiia (Eufemia) (1096—1138)", "Eupraxia-Adelkhaira (1071-1109)", "Elizaveta-Elisiv (1025-1076)", "Anastasia-Agmunda (1020-1074/1094)", "Zbyslava (1090- 1114)", "Dobroniga (Dobrogniva)—Maria (1012—1087)", "Predslava (1090—1109)", "Eupraksia (Dobrodia)—Irina (1108—1172)", "Ephrosinia (Frusina) (1130—1193) )".
