Sheet "Orchids. Crimean Ophrys" 2015

The Crimean Ophrys (also known as the Crimean Spider Orchid) is a rare wild orchid. It grows in Ukraine, mainly in the mountainous Crimea. This flower is surprising in that its petals resemble an insect (for example, a bee or a spider) in shape and color.

The plant became so famous for its beauty that Ukrposhta even issued a special stamp sheet with its image.
