Sheet "Stork. Freedom. We Are Waiting!" 2026

In April 2026, Ukrposhta, in collaboration with the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, announced a nationwide design contest for the "We Are Waiting!" postage stamp.

The contest received 195 entries. The best designs were presented in the Diia app for a public vote, which resulted in the selection of the "Stork. Freedom" design by Nikita Titov. The artwork embodies a union of cherished colors—those of our flag and the hue of hope—alongside the image of the stork (a sacred bird in Ukraine) and the dreams, aspirations, and efforts dedicated to bringing prisoners and the missing back home.

The new postage stamps, unveiled by Ukrposhta to mark the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, are dedicated to the Heroes who ensure Ukraine stands strong, and to all of us who await their return home every day.
