Seals from the period of Ukrainian statehood in 1918-1921.

The trident and historical seals belonged to the institutions and military bodies of Ukrainian statehood in 1918-1921. The history of the national symbol began on February 25 in Korosten, when the Minor Rada decided to adopt the sign of the Kyivan state of the times of Prince Volodymyr the Holy as the coat of arms of the Ukrainian People's Republic. The drawings of the first coats of arms were made by the artist and architect Vasyl Krychevsky, laying the foundation for the use of the trident as a state symbol.
