Ukrainian and Armenian film director, screenwriter, composer. One of the representatives of the wave of Ukrainian poetic cinema. He started the genre of collage in Ukrainian fine art, which he created on the basis of conceptualism, although these works were underground during his lifetime. And they appeared at exhibitions only after the death of the artist. He is known as the director of the film "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" based on the novel of the same name by Mykhailo Kotsyubynskyi, which ranks 1st in the list of the 100 best Ukrainian films.
