“National Archaeological Discoveries” Maximum card

In 2025, Ukraine will present unique exhibits from the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine as part of the Europe program. Among them is an anthropomorphic Scythian stele (5th century BC) depicting a Scythian warrior. The stele-like bodies of Scythian statues usually depict three or four objects: a horn, a dagger, or a sword. This particular statue is made of limestone. 

It was unearthed in 1975 by the Ingul expedition of the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The burial site was looted in ancient times, and therefore most of the items were found broken and shattered. But the statue survived.
